Vidya mobbed!

Actor Vidya Balan was in Kolkata on Thursday evening for the promotion of her forthcoming film. But things got a little out of hand when hundreds of locals descended down to catch a glimpse of the actor. A source says, “Vidya and her entourage were visiting a jewellery shop. As soon as the locals got to know about it, they flocked outside the shop in a huge number. It took more than an hour and half to clear out the crowd, so that Vidya could leave the venue in her car. Vidya had to stay inside the shop for a long time after she was done.” The situation got so worse that they had to call police to come and disperse the crowd. “In spite of having so many bouncers and body-guards in place the police had to intervene. Seeing the huge crowd outside the shop they decided against letting Vidya go. They called up the police to come and help them out,” the source adds. Finally, the police came and managed to make some way through the crowd to take Vidya back to her hotel.
