International celebrities sport tattoos that have been inspired by India




Our country has carved a niche in the West -its rich tradition and history have inspired several international celebs to get inked in designs ranging from Sanskrit shlokas to mythological symbols. Here are a few of them... 
 

DAVID BECKHAM To pledge his love for his wife Victoria, the football star has her name inked on his left arm in Hindi. Beckham has a total of 40 tattoos on his body. 


KATY PERRY
The American songstress has `Anuugacchatu Pravaha', meaning `Go with the flow' inked on her right arm. 


KIMBERLY WYATT
The singer has a Sanskrit tattoo in English script on her neck. It reads, `Let all beings be happy and let my actions contribute to their happiness'. 


RUSSELL BRAND
Apart from having the same script inked as ex-wife Katy Perry, the comedian has a Lord Krishna tattoo on his left arm.

The American actress-singer has a tattoo of `Abhay' meaning `fearless' on her right ankle.
