Actor Neha Dhupia is on the guest list of Golf World Champion, Gary Players' birthday party
Of late actor Neha Dhupia has had a lot of foreign connection. First up was the news of her Venezuelan boyfriend who she has been dating since quite some time and now Neha is currently partying in Durban, courtesy her new friend. Neha and Golf legend, Gary Players are fast developing a special bond. The actor is the only Bollywood celebrity invited to the career Grand Slam champion's birthday bash in South Africa.
"While her father has been very interested in golf and even plays the sport occasionally, Neha never really got down to playing the sport, though she knows the game pretty well. A golf tournament, a gala dinner and a charity event followed by some awesome parties are what she is looking forward to", reveals a source close to her. The actor is already in Durban and will return soon. The source adds, "She is still getting her way around playing golf however she has been keenly lending support to Gary's charity, The Players foundation. She also attended the prestigious benefit hosted by him. The event had international cricket legend Kapil Dev, Paul Collingwood from England, Shaun Pollock and South African rugby icons Pierre Spies and Breyten Paulse."
What apparently impressed Players, was Neha's involvement in charity work in India which included various efforts to raise money for charity to launching an international Twitter campaign to spread awareness and raise money for the victims of the 2011 Sikkim earthquake. Neha who is currently in Durban is extremely excited about being a part of this initiative. Her representatives said, "She is extremely honoured to be associated with the Players Foundation that world for providing quality education for underprivileged children. She has been looking forward to the event for quite some time." Neha is scheduled to return early next week after which she will get busy promoting her upcoming release, Pappu Cant Dance Saala.
