What's on your man's mind when he's in bed with you?

What's on your man's mind when he's in bed with you?

Several surveys reveal that women spend a minimum of two hours getting ready, preening in front of the mirror and putting on their best before stripping down on bed. But what goes on in your man's mind when he's holding you closer? Do your flaws bother him? Or is he so into you that he doesn't even notice them? Here are few things that most men agree to noticing in a woman, and four things they swear they don't pay attention to, while indulging in some action between the sheets. WHAT HE DOESN'T CARE FOR:
SCAR, STRETCH MARK OR CELLULITE
Men don't want you to look for cover or make the room dark just so you can cover up a scar or hide a stretch mark. Also, they don't mind if you have a little flab or wobbly belly because many like to hold on to some flesh as well. Sahil Sankalp, a fashion photographer, says, “Every time I see the stretch mark on my wife's belly , I'm reminded of the pain she endured to bring a new life on earth. It's a sign of her strength, her endurance.I'm proud of the fact that she didn't opt for a tummy tuck or other procedures to get rid of the scar of childbirth. And I tell her the same.“
MANICUREPEDICURE MAKEUP
Honestly , none of those will even register on your guy's mind when the primary focus is on action between the sheets.Rachna Manik, an entrepreneur, says, “My husband has zero idea about what purpose manicures and pedicures serve. He can't even say if I wear my expensive matte makeup which I bought in London. He prefers it if I just wash my face and apply a little moisturiser before snuggling up to him. Sometimes, I think investing in makeup is a sheer waste.“
FANCY LINGERIE
Frilly, seamless, wired, padded, push up, single piece, colour coordinated.Who cares? Especially when the idea is to strip out of every piece of clothing?
BODY HAIR AND MORNING BREATH
So what if your legs are not freshly waxed or your underarm still has some stubble? Even men don't trim their beard or get rid of chest hair always.Says Sahil, “As long as it doesn't get in the way , men don't really notice when was the last time you poured some hot wax on yourself. Of course, we do appreciate it when you take the time and pain to clean up. It's an indication you want the romp as much as we do.But, having stubble on the body is not a crime.“ And morning breath? He has it. So do you. Why make a fuss for a little snuggle and a peck after waking up just because of that smell. Get set for round two, we say!
WHAT HE CARES FOR:
EYES
No, it's not the eyebrows or the lined lashes that he's interested in. It's the expression in your eyes that keeps a man going. Dr Kunal Kulkarni, andrologist, says, “Zoning out in the middle of the action shows how much you are into the act of lovemaking. Instead of looking right through him or staring at the bedpost, lock eyes with him. Keeping your eyes shut is also a sign that you are enjoying the action.“
HANDS
Men see where your hands are when getting intimate. Holding the pillow is fine, but wellness expert Priyanka C says that tracing your fingers along his body contour might just get him excited. She says, “Digging your nails into his skin, holding his back, hugging... these are sure signals of how much you are involved. And these little things matter to them.“
INITIATIVE, INNOVATION AND EAGERNESS
Your man will obviously be excited if you teach him a trick or two in the bedroom. Dr Kulkarni says, “Men would be worried if their wives girlfriends just lie on their back and let them do all the work. Also, it makes them wonder if something's wrong. A little bit of initiative and enthusiasm is something that every man craves for. There are more than a few hundred positions that one can try out. No man has ever said no to learning on the bed.“
BREATH
Nope again, we are not referring to the smell, but the breathing pattern. The way you breathe, the way you speak and whisper, the way you moan and scream -your man cares for these.

SIMPLE WAYS TO SAVE PAPER

SIMPLE WAYS TO SAVE PAPER

Saving the environment doesn't have to be a herculean task that is left to big organisations. We can all do our bit to help out. Here's how... 1
Most of us use debitcredit cards while shopping, but how many of us actually need the printed receipt, given that banks instantly send a SMS after each transaction? The next time you swipe your card, ask the vendor to print only one (merchant) copy of the receipt.
2
The same rule applies when drawing money from an ATM. All ATM machines ask users if they want a print of the transaction. Opt to go paperless and just check your phone the next time you want to know how much balance you have left.
3
Print something only if you really need to. These days, you can flash your eticket on your mobile phone at the airport and railway station. Also, use the blank side of a printed paper to jot down any notes that you might have.
4
When you do need to print, you can save a lot of paper by simply changing the margin settings. Change the margin from the standard 1.25 setting to .75 on every document you print.
5
Don't throw away the envelope the next time you get a letter or bill. Pile them up next to your landline or computer to jot down phone numbers or notes.
6
Feed your grocery or to do list on your mobile phone instead of scribbling it on a piece of paper.Since your phone is with you at all times, you will have your list handy whenever you need it.
7
Instead of going out and buying a book, gather used paper (paper that has been printedwritten on one side) or pamphlets to make a booklet. You could make it look funky by choosing a colourful cover.
8
Get creative and cut pages of magazines into different shapes to make a unique piece of art. You could cut them up like leaves and paste them on a used sheet of paper or chartpaper to make it look like a tree.
9
Use old newspaper as gift wrapping paper. This gives your gift a funky look and makes it stand out.
10
Use cloth napkins instead of tissue paper at home.Cloth absorbs liquid better and does a neater job of cleaning up the mess. Moreover, it can always be washed and reused.

World's cutest office employs nine adorably ambitious cats

World's cutest office employs nine adorably ambitious cats

Who needs a cat café when you've got moggies in the workplace?
In the olden days, lazy Royal Navy sailors could expect a lashing with the cat o'nine tails if their work wasn't up to scratch. But one Japanese firm has discovered that nine real felines are a far better motivational tool than the threat of a good flogging. An internet solutions business company has employed a squad of super-cute cats that are free to roam around the office. Since the moggies moved in, stress levels in the company have plummeted and the team is much more productive than before. Staff have bonded over the furballs, dropping their barriers and boosting team spirit as they collectively rush to cuddle their cutesy co-workers. It's not all good news though, because cats don't obey the same rules as humans. They pull out plugs, chew away on internet cables, claw the walls and even fall asleep inside visitor's bags. The staff don't care about infractions of these cheeky vandals, because they have all been clobbered with a potentially toxic dose of cuteness. The team at the company are even paid to play with cats, which makes them very different from the customers who flock to cat cafés. Employees are paid a 5,000 yen (£28) “cat bonus“ every month if they adopt a cat in need. They are also given time off if their cat dies, with pet bereavement treated the same way as if a human had died.
In Britain, famous workplace cat includes Larry , who works as chief mouser at the Cabinet Office. Sadly , Larry is anything but happy living his home at Westminster. David Cameron doesn't agree with the Japanese policy on office pets and has banned the ministerial moggie from Number 10.
And if that's not a vote winner for the other parties, we don't know what is.

Several pet owners have discovered the use of supplements with the help of research and vets

Supplements required for your pooch

Several pet owners have discovered the use of supplements with the help of research and vets. And, just like humans, animals too benefit from them in many ways

WHY IS IT NECESSARY?
It is imperative to provide pets with necessary supplements so they can stay hale and hearty . If your pet has been not been receiving a balanced healthy meal or is dealing with certain ailments, it is wise to add supplements to hisher diet. Says Dr Manisha Karn, a veterinary physician, “A supplement like fish oil is good for animals because it contains fatty acids, which is helpful for skin disorders. It is also necessary because many pets suffer from digestive disorders and supplements help them combat that to a great extent.“ However, you need to ensure that if your pet has been prescribed a certain diet by the vet, it means the necessary supplements have already been added to the food. But if you think your pet shows signs of weakness, supplements could be a great option.

THREE IMPORTANT SUPPLEMENTS FOR PETS

1. Enzymes Most pets may not get the correct diet.
In such cases, it is necessary to provide them with enzymes that aid in digestion. Enzymes help in breaking down the food before it reaches the intes tinal tract. They are highly useful if your dog suf fers from liver ailments, pancreatitis, or is other wise unhealthy and may benefit from getting additional nutritional value from their food. One must note that while digestive enzymes are help ful for some dogs, they can cause an upset stom ach in some.

2. Probiotics Pets often suffer from bowel issues.
Hence, they require a vet's care. Besides that, a pet needs probiotics because they help in immunity , support digestion and also aid metabolism. This is a great way to keep your dog healthy and you can save on vet bills. Kefir, which is rather easy to be prepared, is a great source of beneficial bacteria for pets. Plain yogurt can also be useful. If you provide probiotics while giving them antibiotics, it will help in preventing diarrhea.

3. Fish oil This is highly necessary for joint, heart, stress and immune support. Moreover, it helps keeping the pet's coat soft and healthy. It also helps fight dry, scaly skin, and it's a known anti-inflam matory . Omega-3 EFAs are found primarily in fish oil, which is known to help the brain development of puppies and small dogs.

Style guide to finding perfect jeans for your body shape

Style guide to finding perfect jeans for your body shape

Jeans have long been a wardrobe essential, but we all struggle to find the perfect shape to fit our figure.Getting your hands on the right pair of jeans can be a nightmare. So, before you hit the high street, check out what style is best for your shape.
  SKINNY FIT
If you're blessed with long slim legs, show them off in a pair of skinnies. And even if you've got big thighs, you can team them up with a long shirt or jumper to keep your curves under wraps.

BRIGHT AND PRINTS
Coloured and patterned jeans are set to be a big trend this season. Bright shades look great on slim legs. Curvy girls should pick darker shades, which will give you a slimmer appearance. Wear with a must-have oversized sweatshirt for an off-duty look.

HIGH WAISTED
If you have a round tummy, these are great for holding everything in and will stop muffin tops from spilling over the sides. Team with a blouse or even a loose-fitting jumper to disguise lumps and bumps.

BOYFRIEND
This style is great for disguising a big bum and thighs. For a fuller figure, wear with a cropped jacket to create a slim silhouette. Stay clear of baggy tops as these will only make you appear bigger.

FLARES
These are all over the catwalk at the moment. Which is great news as they're perfect for pear shapes. The wider leg balances out hips while darker denim is more flattering on curves.Add heels to elongate your legs even more.

Reviving Parsi dramas

Reviving Parsi dramas

Apart from saving the Parsi community from extinction, theatrewallahs must take the onus of saving their rich cultural heritage as well! We're talking about the revival of Parsi-Hindi rangmanch. Parsi theatre, inspired from Persian culture, flourished during the postIndependence years. It included musicals and epics, which were based on social, moral and political issues.Though virtually nonexistent now, National School of Drama graduate Imtiaz Ahmed has tried to recreate this style of theatre with his play RustomO-Sohrab, being staged for the first time in Mumbai. The play is based on Agha Hasher Kashmiri's Urdu adaptation of the popular 10th century Persian tragedy Rustom and Sohrab, a story from Firdausi's monumental epic, Shahnama.
Just like any rangmanch performance, this adaptation has music, songs, poetry, emotions, action sequences and loads of drama. Strangely, the first thing that strikes you about this musical are the vibrant costumes. The women, who play princesses, courtesans and belly dancers are dressed in gorgeous outfits, while the men look dapper in their clothes them seem like they've timetravelled all the way from medieval Iran! The music by Ishtiaq Ahmed is hummable.
Now if you're a regular at watching plays, you're going to find the acting in Rustom-OSohrab rather loud.Which means, the actors are shouting out their dialogues, every word is accompanied by a hand gesture, female characters are giggling and sighing while essaying their part etc. But that's the style of this kind of theatre.
Though the story is a tragic one, there is enough comic relief provided by some of its characters, so even if it is a dramatic or intense scene, you're going to burst out laughing at someone's expression or dialogue in the play. Whether intentional or not, I can't deny that you will be highly entertained most of the time.
Unfortunately, the two-and-a-half hours duration is excruciatingly long. Also, the play is highly experimental and you must keep an open mind if you want to watch it.

Sweat is sexy: How to meet your match at the gym

Sweat is sexy: How to meet your match at the gym

Looking for a date this Valentine’s Day? Try finding one in your gym

Since Valentine’s Day is approaching, Relaxnews contacted Bela Gandhi –– who runs a Chicago-based Smart Dating Academy –– to advise singles looking for a date on how to hook their crush while pumping iron. Gandhi says people are usually their own best matchmakers, but offering singles some new ideas to tweak their routine –– say, at the gym –– can lead to lasting relationships. “When you’re working out, you have endorphins and adrenaline pumping through your system. Studies have shown that these hormones put you in a heightened state of attraction, so the gym is a great spot to meet someone,” says Gandhi.
PHOTO: SHUTTERSTOCK; PICTURE FOR REPRESENTATION ONLY A good first step is to update your workout wardrobe A good first step is to update your workout wardrobe, says Gandhi, who advises men against tank shirts and fluorescent colours, and advises women to mind the threshold between sexy and vulgar. Next step, take off your headphones, start out with a tour of the gym to check out who’s there and try your best to look friendly in order to make yourself approachable. While seeming approachable is important, it’s up to you to break the ice, reveals Gandhi –– and this applies to both men and women. “What have you got to lose? Conversation is like tennis, someone just has to serve first,” she says.
A chivalrous gesture on the part of a man –– like grabbing a fresh towel for an attractive woman who’s headed to a pilates class –– could brighten her day and lead to some small talk. For women, make him feel like the alpha-male by asking him to spot you on a machine, or complimenting his kickboxing skills. The environment is full of props, Gandhi points out, so ask a potential special someone in the smoothie line if the Spirulina-Sunrise is really as good as it looks.
Once you’ve got them talking, don’t try to be quirky, be original. Don’t get too personal just yet. “Thank goodness for the weather. If we didn’t have weather to talk about, most conversations wouldn’t begin,” says Gandhi. Small talk leads to big talk, she reminds us, so there’s nothing too passé or too generic to use as a conversation starter.

Finger tattoos

Finger tattoos get popular with city youngsters

Bollywood's new blue-eyed girl Jacqueline Fernandez recently got a tattoo done on her finger, which reads `love', while Celina Jaitely chose this place to get her better half 's name -Peter -inked.Maanayata Dutt, too, sports a finger tattoo with her hubby Sanjay's name. Hollywood celeb Lindsay Lohan also grabbed eyeballs with a `Shhh...' tattoo on her index finger. However, this fad of finger tattoos is not just confined to celebrities. In fact, youngsters are also getting hooked to this new trend.

SHORT AND SWEET
Not everyone prefers those big tattoos or getting inked on a body part, which even you can't view easily . Youngsters prefer fingers for inking small and simple tattoos that can be hidden or flaunted as per their choice. Digvijay Yenurkar, an M Tech student, says, “Just a few days ago, I got a tattoo with my parents' names on my finger as their wedding anniversary is around the corner. When I go to college, I wear a ring over it as I feel this is something very personal and I don't want to unnecessarily flaunt it everywhere.“

LOTS IN A NAME
Finger tattoos can be an alternative to engagement rings, too.The trend of adorning the ring finger with a tattoo of a partner's name is also very common among city couples. Indrajeet Kalmegh, a businessman, says, “I feel rings can be changed, feelings can't. I generally avoid wearing rings. So, as an alternative to my engagement ring, I got my ring finger inked with my wife's name (Ashwini).Reciprocating this love in a similar way , she, too, will be getting a tattoo with my name soon.“
Amar Mulge, a tattoo artist, says, “Mostly, unmarried or just-married couples, between the age group of 20 and 25, come to me to tattoo their fingers. While a majority of them prefer inking the names of their respective partners, a few have even inked their wedding date.“

CREATIVE CHALLENGE
“It's a very challenging task to create a tattoo over such a small area. And because fingers have a thin layer of skin, getting tattooed there is a painful process as well. When a customer inks his her name, it's easier. But I need to pay extra attention when someone's opting for designs like a tiger or a phoenix,“ says tattoo artist Dr Jitendra Bharadwaj.
“When it comes to tattooing a finger, I use fine needles of one or three round liner size. Strokes of the tattoo machine are short and the frequency is always kept low,“ he adds.
