RECONSIDER ‘A’ CERT
MAAN SINGH’S film Beehad – The Ravine’s songs have been granted ‘A’ certificate, but the Bombay High Court has directed the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) to reconsider that. Writer Krishna Mishra filed a petition against CBFC and Film Certification Appellate Tribunal for granting an ‘A’ certificate to three songs despite similar songs in big-budget Bollywood films having gotten ‘U’ certificates in the past. The court told CBFC that all films should be treated equally.
