'देवगिरी महासंगम'मध्ये सुमारे ६० हजार स्वयंसेवकांनी हजेरी लावली. या शिबिरात मोहन भागवत यांचे प्रमुख मार्गदर्शन होत असल्याने त्याकडे सर्वांचेच लक्ष लागले होते. मात्र, भागवत यांनी धर्मांतराच्या कळीच्या मुद्द्यावर थेट बोलणे टाळताना आपल्या भाषणात हिंदुत्वावर जोर दिला.
स्वत:मध्ये परिवर्तन करण्याची नितांत आवश्यकता आहे. सर्वांनी विविधतेचा स्वीकार केला पाहिजे आणि त्यानुसार आचरण केले पाहिजे, असे नमूद करून आजच्या समाजात एकता दिसत नाही. त्यामुळेच विविध समस्या उभ्या ठाकतात, असे भागवत म्हणाले. सर्वांचे कल्याण व्हावे हा हिंदुत्वामागचा उद्देश असून सशक्त भारत निर्माणाचे हे काम राष्ट्रीय स्वयंसेवक करेल, असा विश्वासही भागवत यांनी व्यक्त केला.
